St. Simeon Skete, Taylorsville Kentucky USA

With St. Simeon, the God receiver, as our patron, the skete seeks to practice the ideals found in our Rule, The Thousand Day Nazareth. In simplicity and poverty, the skete embraces the struggle of inner life through the practice of the Prayer Rope.

The Face of our Brother...

As James Mansaray drags another load of medicines (sent from his American NHA Counterparts), through the villages near Kabala,
he meets up with yet another friend.
This man is thin, tired, overworked, hungry and in pain.

The man tells James about his troubles.

His whole body has pain...
but most especially in his knees.

Johnny Manga Turay has come along to help James with the distributions of medications.

Johnny  equips the man with Anti-inflamatory medicines (ibuprofen) and pain rub.

James carefully shows the gentleman

what to do with the rub.

Thanks to all of the NHA Supporters, doing what they can, making a difference in the lives of others.  Maybe... just maybe this guy will get a little bit of relief tonight.   Keep up the good work, friends - there is so much work to be done.
