Black Friday

I'm not sure why they call the day after Thanksgiving shopping "Black Friday" - maybe because the frenzy of mad acquisitions of reduced priced items puts the retailers "in the black".  I don't know, nor do I really care.  NHA has people starving in Africa on their mind.  We have students who desperately desire to receive an education to consider.  Our director, James Mansaray, is currently sick in bed in Kabala suffering a horrendous case of typhoid combined with a bout of malaria.  He has no real medical treatment other than the supplies we send to him.  A good sale of Black Friday is very low on my list.

Frenzied Shopping, I guess, is not bad in and of itself.  The idea that so many people are out there to buy gifts for someone else, other than themselves, is a good thought.  And we hope that with all the money you saved you just might consider sending a little extra towards the work in Sierra Leone.

Nazareth House Apostolate has partnered with #Giving Tuesday. On December 3rd let's show the world that AMERICA Gives and gives good!
