One, Two - Buckle My Shoe. Three, Four - give them more!

Last week, Fr. David Webb and his wife, Kathy visited Jonah House in Kentucky.   On the Friday of their stay, Seraphim and I took them on a pre-trial run of our annual Rosary Pilgrimage which will be held this year on Saturday, October 9th, 2010.

Many of you make this NHA Pilgrimage with us annually and we look forward to your return for it this year.

We begin our Rosary Pilgrimage with a beautiful scenic drive

starting the Rosary intro prayers

overlooking the Ohio River

 that separates Kentucky and Indiana.

The first set of Mysteries are said at the little church in Leopold, Indiana - St. Augustine.

From there we travel on toward St Meinrad, Indiana,

saying the sets of Mysteries at both the Shrine of St. Joseph and then onto Our Lady of Monte Cassino Chapel (where we also have a picnic lunch).

Our final Rosary Mysteries are said at the Sanctuary of the St. Meinrad Archabbey.

From there we take time to visit the Abbey Press Gift Shop.

Here Kathy and Fr. Webb found shoes marked down to 50 cents each

for NHA to give out in Sierra Leone.

Kathy and Fr. Webb bought enough shoes to fill our trunk up.

Looks like more bare feet will have shoes on them in the near future in Salone.  Thanks Kathy & Fr. Webb.
