Shoes for the students of Nazareth House Apostolate

Nazareth House Apostolate is truly blessed by the many capable helpers & supporters that work together to perform the needed duties.
Most especially we are grateful for the Mansaray family
who just happens to be our staff. James, Kadijah, Lucy, Ann Marie
and yes, even little Roo, work hard to fulfill the needs of the people of their country through NHA.

As James and the family travel through Sierra Leone on their way to Kabala they have been delivering shoes to the villages along the way. Now it is time to hand out the shoes to our students at our school in Kabala.
Our friends in Kabala are always ready to help, carrying the barrel and boxes of shoes
up towards the school.
Next the shoes must be emptied from the containers,
sorted and
fitted to feet that are anxiously waiting.
Roo decides to take advantage of one last romp in the shoes.
What fun,
what excitement.

As always at our school, the children begin each event with prayer.
Our school has both Muslim and Christians enrolled and each practice their own religious traditions, respectful of the differences.
The school is truly a work of unity.

Last month, when Fr. Seraphim and I were in Kabala,
I noticed some of the students, most had shoes on their feet but more times than not the shoes they had did not fit.
They were either too big and the children had to stuff extra socks in them to be able to keep them on.
.... or they were too small and pinched the child's toes. How wonderful that they now have shoes that fit... it makes a big difference. A BIG difference!
Nazareth House Apostolate is happy to be able to show you the results of your donations and compassion, check back tomorrow for more details and latest updates on your work in Sierra Leone! Thank you! God bless you, always.
